How-to Mango Tango on a Friday night?

No, my post is not gonna be talking about Tango dancing at all... But it is about Mango of course! ^^

Well, one of the best part of my summer season is eating mango! : ) Yesterday, I got this Calypso Mangoes, 2 for $4.50 from Woollies. Not really sure if is a really a great offer but well it doesn't really matter to me though. I haven't been eating mangoes for quite some time.

Then, I realized something yesterday... I have never peel or cut a mango myself at all. Felt pretty annoyed by that fact! Don't be mistaken. I had mangoes before... Mostly in desserts and occasionally my dad would be the one doing the slicing and peeling job at home. So, to be honest, yesterday was my first time peeling and slicing one.

Not gonna make a big hoo-hah 'bout me slicing my first mango but I am pretty sure there are some of you whom never sliced your own mango as well.

Here are some how-to tips for you.

Step 1

Before slicing any fruits or vegetable, I would usually rinse them with water to get rid of the wax coating. Although I have read article saying that sometimes is almost impossible to get rid of the bacteria underneath the wax coating by just rinsing with the water, but I still think is somehow better than not rinsing it.

Step 2
The mango has a flat seed in the middle, cutting into three portions will easily get rid of the seed.
Cut the mango into three portions as shown as the picture. Leave the middle portion (seed) aside.

Step 3
Make light cross-cut slices on the other two portions  and make sure you do not slice through the skin.
With your fingers, push the skin-side of the mango cheek up so that the skin can lie flat on the plate or chopping board.

Step 4
Cut along the base of the cross-cuts (close to the skin) and serve.

Step 5
Eat the flesh around seed by cutting or peeling off the skin from the middle section.

Step 1
Step 2
Step 3a
Step 3b
Step 4
Step 5

I hope these steps are useful to you. I still think I need lots of practices though. Here are some Youtube video which I find very useful as well. Check it out!

Off to study for now... = [ Lucky me I have my mangoes, grapes and yogurt to spice up my Friday night! Have a great Friday peeps! xoxo~

It's A Matter of Trust

I do not consider myself as a bookworm at all but I would still enjoy some good reads from self-enrichment books once in a while. And the best part of it is that I realize I would gain something different every time I read it through.

Try understanding this,
"If you really consider it, trusting anyone, even ourselves, doesn't make any sense. If we trust, we don't watch, we take things for granted, we get lazy, and we miss a lot. But if we watch everything and everyone with a sense of inquisitiveness, we remain alert and fresh. No, this doesn't mean to be distrustful and paranoid - just do not trust - watch! Try it and then decide for yourself which is the better approach." - Murray Oxman
The first time reading this, it makes no sense to me at all. I feel that not-to-trust is gonna be so time-consuming and tiring for any individual. But then, today when I gone through this quote again, I realize that the author was not trying to stop us from trusting but to remind us not to trust blindly. Therefore, WATCH cautiously if you are going to trust a person, an incident, anything!

"Don't trust me!" Minion said.

From personal experience, the scariest part about Trust is knowing what you've always believe turns out to be something else. Be it involves a love relationship, friendship, work or anything else. No doubt you would be sad, may be heart-broken, or even depressed about it, but honestly come to think of it, if we would had not took things for granted and loosen our guard from observing, we might have been able to see things clearer.

I have met people. People who seem nice, helpful, friendly, anything good about a person - you name it! But deep down in the roots of human beings, humans are selfish. Don't try to tell me, No, I have met people who are truly sincere, kind and blah blah blah. Just wait, watch and then decide again.

When a person has its own agenda, I am pretty sure all these niceness, helpfulness and friendliness would just be set aside. Then, you as close ties who then discover the harsh truth about this person would start to be disappointed about it. Why? Because you believe this person for what she/ he wants you to perceive as in the first place. My point here is... anyone can be all-so-good and nice if they want to. But, they can be all-that-nasty and bad as well. Is just the matter of time.

I am not saying that everyone I know is you-know-evil. Don't get me wrong. But, when somethings happen, we have our responsibility too. The responsibility of taking things for granted and trusting too much; causing ourselves disappointment in the end. The other individual has their responsibility but so do we. So, what if she/ he did not turned out to be who you thought they were, that's because each individual has a mentality about being someone else, someone a society wants them to be. No one is to blame. No one...

This is hilarious! Yeah, some bitches just suck at math!

Of course, I would still want to thank those who made me see clearly who they really are. Yes, I had my disappointments and heart-broken times, but that's just you being you! And yeah, I of course have made others upset, angry, disappoint with me. But who doesn't? As long as the person doesn't does anything which is morally or ethically wrong from my point of view, it's okay to just be yourself. i know it's hard to put a all-so-good mask on all the time. Gee... And by the time you realize, most people would take you for granted for your all-so-good traits and then you start complaining. Of course this doesn't apply to those who wanted and choose to act innocent and all-so-good after they made mistakes and put the blame on someone else for misleading them. Because everyone has their responsibility to be who they really are, do the right thing and do the thing right! LOL

I just pity those who has to constantly put on their masks. It's just so tiring. For people around you, they constantly have to watch and trust. For people who don't know you, they constantly have to figure when to watch and when to trust.

I choose to trust who I wanted to. But not to trust blindly. For all you know, you can trust once blindly but never twice! Never let those who doesn't deserve your love, respect and trust manipulate how you feel. It's not worth it at all. And if you were given a second chance, be sure you appreciate it~ xoxo

My 2013 New Year Resolution

During this time of a year, I am pretty sure most of the people will be taking this opportunity to make themselves a list of things that they wish to achieve in the coming year. And since, the world actually did not ended as predicted by the Mayans calendar, I have to start being very practical with my goal setting for 2013. The reason is if the world had actually really ended a week ago, I would not have to be worry 'bout all my concerns by now. Foolish me, yes! I actually did kinda think I could just walk away from all my worries and troubles!

Well, long story cut short. I decided not to make my list too long... So, may be ten, will do? NO, may be five. I am not going to set too high expectations this year and realizing I always only get 4 out of 10 things done in my lists every time. So, If I did 4 out of 5, that would almost be 90% achievable! *evil grin*

Here goes...

No.1 Have a Financial Plan for year 2013

This is my very first priority. The coming few years are critical. Money money money~ Honestly, I am not going to lie. I just freaking need money! Money for my rent, tuition fee, food and pretty much everything. Need to get a part-time job to cover all my basic expenses, save up for my tuition fee and may be some savings for a bit of travelling. The harsh reality is I am on my own feet and asking money from my parents sound so wrong at my age, I have to say. So even though I am not going to lie that life would be much easier if I could just ask for money BUT I just can't do so anymore.

No. 2 Be a High Achiever in My Master Degree

Everyone around me has been really supportive towards my decision of getting back to uni again. Not gonna disappoint them and would love to get a scholarship or may be subsidiary from my university on my studies. Therefore, I have to work my ass out for this coming years to achieve that. Wish me best of luck, people!

No.3 Let Bygones be Bygones

I know this one here sounded a bit ridiculous but I really have a rough year 2012. Nothing seems to go right for me. Lucky enough, not to get into a depression but I had to really let go of some terrible haunting thoughts of mine which has been causing me sleepless nights with terrible dark circles and eye bags. I need to forgive and forget, then carry on. I can see it's going to be a huge surprise awaiting for me at the end there! Woots~ And please, family and friends, if you ever see me unhappy or you-know-crying, all you need to do is just give me a hug to feel better, no further questions! LOL And btw, crying is not that I am not tough, is just that my body need to physically express those tears and get going. Being tough is never about holding back the tears but to let the tears go and then carry on with a big big smile! That's life! So, I expect some hugs when I see you. Hot guys, you can give me a peck on the cheek if you want. But only hot guys, kay? *giggle* Just kidding.

No. 4 Really Got to Slim Down

I had been abusing my appetite and my body for the past 5 years. I have people whispering about me getting fat and coming to me saying "I think you gain some weight!" Okaay! You can just shout out loud and say I gain lots of weight! I am not gonna lie at all. So, made a decision. I have already started a diet plan. Aiming to lose may be around kilos. Current weight is 52 kilos if not mistaken. And sadly, I am not tall. So I have to do this for the sake of the rest of my life. I wanna go out looking smoking hot and make you people jealous! *evil* hahahaha... Well, I need encouragement, support and most of all love! If you see me, and I am still that fat-ass-girl, don't you dare come to me and say "Oh my! You look great!", I won't believe a word you say! Pretty stubborn headed, am I? =P Just have to be harsh to myself to get what I want. I promise to eat healthy and stay healthy! No worries~

No. 5 Be a Successful Blogger?

I started blogging since 2005 but I just couldn't make it on top of the way. Reason... I have be procrastinating for all these time. So, I decided I have to keep going and do this the right way. My dad  was telling me this the other day, "Don't spend too much time of how things are not working out, especially in the jittery start-up phase. Focus on what you need to do to grow the business and, to steal a phrase from Nike, JUST DO IT!" (He got this from the newspaper, he said) So, yes, I am doing it now! Trying to get my blog an identity! Still working on it! And I think the best way of doing it, is to JUST START WRITING! Gimme some advice if some of you who has experience and would like to gimme some free advice! =] I would appreciate your help! I mean it. Would love to hear from anyone, pros, amateur, families, friends, strangers but please no haters. I am bad at dealing with haters. Just a heads up, if you don't like me. Just don't drop by cuz you will pretty much not be happy with anything anyway. Geez.. well of cuz i knew you people are nice! so please be nice to me too! xoxo

I hope everyone would have a unceasingly fruitful year of 2013.
